I’m learning that I can’t always run away

PostSecret usually hits a chord with me, but this week’s has me remembering what I’ve been trying to forget

23 hours and counting

By this time tomorrow, my final TAFE exam will be over.

SOFA KING GLAD.

I’ve studied my arse off in the last few days, including six hours today. I’ve pepped myself up with frozen coke, nudie icy poles a lonnnnnnnnnng bath in the new bathtub and i’m about to have mint Bailey’s with our mint Rock Lea Road before snuggling up with some old Colbert eps.

Le Freak

I try so hard to think these kinds of things are bullshit, but this one is pretty damn accurate. And a star is my power symbol! I have one of those tatooed on my arse!!!1!1!!1!!!! Except I want my power colour to be pink, kthxbai.

Your Birthdate: June 1

You are a natural born leader, even if those leadership talents haven’t been developed yet.
You have the power and self confidence to succeed in life, and your power grows daily.

Besides power, you also have a great deal of creativity that enables you to innovate instead of fail.

You are a visionary, seeing the big picture instead of all of the trivial little details.Your strength: Your supreme genius

Your weakness: Your inappropriate sensitivity

Your power color: Gold

Your power symbol: Star

Your power month: January

What Does Your Birth Date Mean?

Renovations: Week 16

AKA: Will they ever fucking end?

Today we discovered that the dishwasher ISN’T installed as previously squealed about. So today I started catching up on 4 days’ worth of washing up. Teh suck. But I’ve bought some smelly bath stuff and I’m going to have my first bath in our the new bathtub.

While it’s awesome to have these renovations happen around us when my mother-in-law is paying for them, it’s going to be sofa king hard to leave this place and buy one of our own. Why can’t the double-oven come with us?

Renovations: Week 15

Highlights of the last couple of weeks include:

  • Functional oven
  • Functional stove

And today the bathtub was installed (and I think my boyfriend is going to leave me and move in with the bathtub). AND we discovered that the dishwasher’s been connected for at least a week, but no one thought to tell us.

There’s still some work to do, mostly painting and tidying things up. Then the floors will be varnished and we have to move out for 3 days. Mmm, fumes.
