Dear Newtown cops driving down King Street last night

Thank you for not booking me for road rage when I honked you like a madwoman last night.

If you’re going to make an illegal right turn at the busiest intersection in all of Newtown IN PEAK HOUR, might be an idea to not do it in an unmarked police car. Just a tip.

Litter Kwitter goodness

I’m supposed to be washing my hair, doing the washing up, making my lunch for work tomorrow and etc before settling down on the couch to catch up on Daily Show and Colbert Report.

But I have to tell you about Bear pooping through a small hole above the toilet and his poop landing in the water with a big splash.

We moved to the intermediate orange disc (so step 1.5) for the first time since I went away in December/January. We’ve taken our time to get back to this point, and it seems to be doing the trick. Elvis is still the perfect trainee, but even Bear and his stubbornness has managed to deal with this stage this time ’round.

There’s still some work to go before we’re ready for the real intermediate stage, but we’re on the move.

The countdown is on for the end of kitty litter in our house. Bring it on.

Differentiating

Wasn’t that long ago that I had a sook about the MiG Ayesa fansite community.

I said that I was stubborn, and wouldn’t give up after maintaining MiGCentral for almost nine years.

I can’t be bothered being stubborn when the official MiG Ayesa site goes and pisses off a large chunk of the current communities. Through no individual’s fault of course, but by ignorance and assumption that we weren’t fed up already.

This time it’s meant to be different.

But like last time, a fan is running the new setup, behind the veil of an administrator login. This is where some of that ignorance comes in – and the assumption that we wouldn’t realise what the hell’s going on.

We don’t like being lied to.

We don’t like being treated like our credentials need to be verified before being accepted into this new community.

I can see where this will go.

Unfortunately, the way I nurtured my corner of the community is shot to pieces. Nine years is a long time to put up with bullshit, and I guess we’re all guilty of putting up with a relationship that should have ended a long time ago.

I wish I had the right to chuck a huge hissy fit. To claim that my time is worthy. But I don’t have the right, and my time isn’t worthy. I need to take my own advice and realise it’s differentiate or die.

Today I closed the MiG sections on MiGCentral. I’m lucky that I have a community that extends beyond our common interest, so will keep the site running to allow that independent community to keep going.

It’s time I got a new hobby.
