Laura’s Life
Google Map of holiday
My holiday planning would be lost without Google Maps
Planning
129 days to go and I’m finally starting to get organised:

Good job, iTunes
I avoided the whole iPod thing forever, then succombed last year some time.
Then I tried to avoid using iTunes (courtesy of Winamp and associated plugins), then caved in after a couple of months.
This month I’ve started buying music via iTunes and everything seemed swell, until I pre-ordered Katie Noonan’s new album and waited patiently for it to download this morning. iTunes was all “oh, but you didn’t pre-order anything that’s been released today” and I was all “fuck off, Katie Noonan’s on sale, bitch”. Then we had a mediation session and the tracks downloaded in an orderly fashion.
Then I’m listening to the album, thinking “the filename for this says it’s the new single, but it sure as fuck doesn’t sound like it”. A check of the tracklisting at sanity.com.au confirmed that iTunes had the first 3 tracks named out of order. Fucking great! I just paid you $16.99 and you can’t even get the tracks right. GOOD JOB, ITUNES. GOOD JOB.
The Tiger and Lion of Croydon Street, Petersham
Kath and I found this on a pre-TAFE walk last week:

If it’s hard to tell that it’s a Tiger mauling some other creature, it’s because we were laughing so hard that we were unable to get a steady shot. This is Kath being a ti-grr.
I haven’t been able to find anything on the internets except for this pic, which fails to illustrate the complete bizarre-ness off this garden. In the middle of a very typical inner-west street, complete with high fencing to keep dodgy types out

I’m just happy that I get a day off work
I still don’t get how this concrete wall will make a difference for APEC, but the flute says it best:

Sorted
When I’m bridesmaid in 3 weeks, the bride has agreed that I’ll walk into the reception to:

The groom will dress as a policeman and I’ll strip down to my knickers after a few laps.
Thank god the weekend is over
who would think that i’d be looking forward to going back to work? with family staying last night and other social butterfly-ness, i’m relieved that we’ve had dinner, i can just get the washing up done and piss around on facebook until bedtime.
Hump day
The second half of this week can only be better than the first half considering we spent Monday dealing with blocked drains and a bathroom and backyard covered in sewerage and kitty litter pulp.
I’m also addicted to facebook.
