Hi, my name is Laura and I like meeting stranger Twitterers in dark alleys

So I got a private twitter message (a DM, if you’re up with the lingo) from Liz of Jarod & Liz last night:

hey, if it’s not too creepy, jarod wants us to duck down and do a joint 365 with you tonight. If you haven’t done one already. You can most definitely say no if you want!! :)

How could I resist a request that ends in a smiley face? Sure, I’d only met Liz once before at a Blog Chicks lunch, but we live relatively nearby — and just quietly, I have a sixth sense for knowing which online people I’ll get along with in real life, and these two totally cut it — and we’re all doing the 365 in 2010 photo/portrait/self-portrait thing.

So this was a perfectly natural thing to do, right?

So we set the time. And a dark place:

And what was supposed to be a quick photo opportunity turned into a 2-hour chat-fest! And they even brought some chocolate mousse for me because inner westie types are nice and thoughtful like that:

Cat people are cool and twitter people are cool. Combine the two and you get super-cool!

Thanks guys for the laughs, the screams, the zomg-there’s-a-rat (5 times over) and of course, the chocolate mousse:

Bear says thanks, too :)
