La Vie Boheme is a “game” that my friends and I have played for YEARS. As in, since 2004 (that’s forever in internet years, yeah?).

It’s a play on the Wikipedia definition of La Vie Boheme, where we share and celebrate the positives of our lives. We stay true to the source (the musical RENT) and share our La Vie’s as if we’re toasting them.

And today’s the type of day where I want to celebrate – and share it with you :)

To freelance work

I’m very lucky with my ever expanding freelance business, which in the last couple of months has branched out into blog design. I’m working with so many fabulous people on different projects. It’s keeping me occupied when I’m not at my 9-5 job and I’m loving the challenge and learning something new each step of the way. It’s a good sign that I’m too busy to even redesign my own web site!

It saved me last night when I accidentally saved over a client file. The restore function is brilliant when you accidentally click Save instead of Save As!

To a blog free of viruses

My beloved blog was hit by the Pharma virus last month… a virus so sneaky that only Google’s bots could see it (and I only discovered it last week). I managed to remove the virus and my Google search results are slowly but surely getting back on track.

I’ve promised to put together a proper blog post dedicated to how I fixed it and how you can stop the virus hitting your standalone WordPress blog!

To getting Facebook savvy

I finally went and set up a Facebook page for my beloved blog – which you can “like” if you go here – I don’t expect to have a plethora of fandom there, but it’ll be an interesting experiment. I’ve got 13 fans at the moment, let’s see how high it goes!
